That is, the HDMI cable that goes from the living room TV to the PS3, it still works but apparently just not with the PS3. Whenever the output from the PS3 to the TV switched to 720p, it just started doing stupid stuff like this:
Notice how the menu DOES display being at 1080p, it only acts stupid at 720p.
So I switched the cable to the one I had in my room with my TV, and now it works fine. And my laptop outputs fine to my TV with the "broken" cable, so, yeah, I don't really know what's at fault.
lol that sucks. Hardware! So unreliable! I am sure Geli can add to the frustration of trying to deal with hardware in a logical way!
