Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread came out last Friday. I was so excited for it, like I haven't been for a new game in many years. And it totally paid off. I don't play that many single player games nowadays, and when I do, I either don't finish them, or it takes me ages to do so.

I finished Dread in two sittings. Sure, it's not the longest game, it took me 8 hours to beat it, but I had so much fun every minute of it. It felt good to feel that way for a video game. It took me back to my teen years and most of my 20s.

It took a third session to collect 100% of the items (didn't look at guides at all, but it is on the easier side to collect all the stuff, not as hard as games back in the 90s, 2000s).

And now, I'm going to do a second playthrough in hard.

  1. Nice! At first read, I thought metroid had given you dread but I'm glad it's the opposite haha not gonna lie, metroid is the only videogame that makes me do a mental calculation to see if I have time for it, I don't haha

  2. Nice! Glad it's good and you enjoyed it! I only know about this because there was a "Metroid Dread" event in Smash where new Metroid spirits show up in Smash haha Part of me wants to play a Metroid game, but also I don't think I have time for it. Retirement project haha
