Or, Rocket League Championship Serires. You know, a bunch of really talented teenagers playing car soccer for people to watch.
It's so fun for me to watch. Especially when the team I'm rooting for is often a top contender. This is the feeling "normal" people must have when they watch whichever sport they like every week.
The new season began a few weeks ago after 3 months of break, and I didn't realize how much I missed it. The rivalries, the progress toward the final tournament at the end of the season, the stress of watching your team go to overtime in game 7 against their toughest opponent in the final.
It's a good feeling.
Yeah, it's definitely the same feeling as watching a sport. In a way almost everybody has that kind of spectator sport, the anticipation, rivalry, stress, joy, drama.. If you count gossip and telenovelas since I assume they evoke the same feelings. I guess it must be in human nature. Currently, I don't have something like that, but I'm sure I'll get dragged into something similar eventually. I find sports games too stressful nowadays haha The last thing I had like that was the election cycle, and honestly it was too stressful as well.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I never understood people watching sports until I got hooked up watching competitive gaming... although I never get that involved, I just enjoy watching both teams doing insane things I'll never be able to do, lol
ReplyDeletehaha yeah, like Geli says, I guess it's a human thing. We all just have to find that "thing" that triggers it for us. For me, it's definitely sports. But I could probably get into watching gamers, I just never started to haha yet.
