The class itself sounded promising: Databases II, and I love databases. There's no quantity of knowledge that is too much knowledge.
However...I don't know if it's because the teacher thinks of us as high school material, or if the plan actually calls for it, but we're seeing some ridiculously easy stuff. I'm in my class right now, and we're "learning" about mysql queries in PHP, and how basic HTML work...I mean, stuff you learn in 10 minutes after googling "HTML tutorial".
The class was really interesting at first, we were learning about database normalization, something that is really important in real world applications. We were also learning about database designing and making diagrams...
And now, 1 week away from the end of the class, we're learning HTML....come on!!! Anyway, the "good" thing is I can totally ignore the teacher and do stuff in the computer, though I would've preferred learning something new...
I will try to write something in German at the end of my posts, something I have learned in the last couple of days...
Ich bin fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt.
yeah, well thats what happens when you are a mega geek and learn on your own :P
ReplyDeleteIch bin 27 Jahre alt
Ich bin 27 Jahre alt w00t! haha Thx Geli
ReplyDeleteAnd that is odd, classes usually get hard at the end, not easy. But then again, it is a DB class, maybe he can't assume everyone is a web developer Sergio!
